Problem — Traditional carports as a compromise

Have you ever wondered why most car canopies look like makeshift industrial structures? Traditional carports often resemble warehouses or workshops rather than thoughtful elements of property architecture. Unsheathed structural profiles, visible screws and fasteners, and an overall impression of temporality mean that instead of increasing the aesthetic value of the property, they lower it.

“When we bought our house, we wanted every exterior element to harmonize with the architecture of the building. Unfortunately, the car roofs available on the market completely did not fit our vision” — recalls Paweł, owner of a modern single-family house.

Traditional carports are designed with one function in mind — protecting the vehicle from rain and snow. In a world where every element of our environment becomes multifunctional and intelligent, such a one-dimensional approach seems outdated. Why could the roof not simultaneously produce electricity, blend harmoniously into the architecture of the property or offer additional functionalities?

Moreover, many homeowners are faced with the problem of matching the carport to existing architectural elements. Standard designs rarely offer the possibility of personalization or modification, which leads to visual chaos and lack of consistency on the property. Effect? Instead of elegance, we have an aesthetic compromise that becomes more and more blatant over time.

At the same time, rising electricity costs are prompting homeowners to look for alternative energy sources. However, the installation of traditional photovoltaic panels requires additional space and often leads to similar aesthetic problems — panels placed on the roof of a house can disrupt the architectural harmony of the entire building.

So do we have to choose between functionality and aesthetics? Is there not a solution that would allow us to protect our car, generate renewable energy and at the same time increase the visual value of our property?

Faced with these challenges, the market needed innovation that would revolutionize the way we think about car canopies. A solution that solves all these problems at the same time — and that's how the ePark carport was born.

Solution — Modular ePark

Imagine a canopy that not only perfectly protects your car, but also harmoniously fits into the architecture of your home, produces clean energy and can be easily expanded in the future. This vision has been realized thanks to the ePark system.

Carport ePark is the result of many years of research and development work and listening to the needs of customers. Instead of adapting existing industrial solutions for home applications, Electrotile designers started the process with a clean slate, posing the question: “What should the ideal roofing for a contemporary home look like?”

The basis of the ePark system is an elegant, aluminum structure with a minimalist design. Instead of visible connections, screws and fasteners, we are dealing with a clean form that gives the impression of a monolithic and at the same time light weight. Construction profiles with a cross section of 10x10 cm provide both stability and a slim, modern look.

“Working on the ePark system, we wanted to break the stereotype of the carport as an industrial structure. We wanted it to become a fully-fledged element of home architecture — something that the owners would be proud to show guests, rather than trying to hide behind a hedge,” explains Anna, Electrotile's chief designer.

Photovoltaic panels of the latest generation are installed on the roof of the carport. However, unlike traditional installations, in ePark the panels are integrated into the structure, forming a uniform roof surface. Thanks to the use of full black panels (completely black), the roof looks elegant and minimalist.

A key aspect of the ePark system is its modularity. You can choose the size to suit your space and needs — from a single stand to extensive structures for several cars. Moreover, the system can be customized to individual preferences, choosing different finishing options or additional functionality.

One of the most important features of the system is its compatibility with other elements of the Electrotile range. The Carport ePark can be easily integrated with the eFence fence system or bioclimatic pergola, creating a coherent whole. All of these elements use the same structural profiles and can share posts, allowing optimal use of space and maintaining a uniform aesthetic.

Electrotile also took care of the technical aspect. Carport ePark comes standard with an integrated water drainage system, so you don't have to worry about rainwater collecting on the roof. Optionally, you can also choose a version with LED lighting, which not only provides comfort of use after dark, but also adds an elegant character to the entire structure.

The installation of the ePark system is surprisingly simple and fast thanks to the well-thought-out design and precise connecting elements. It does not require specialized equipment or advanced technical knowledge, which translates into lower installation costs and the possibility of subsequent modifications.

Unlike many solutions on the market, the ePark carport is not a one-off product — it is a system that grows and evolves with your needs, while maintaining the highest build quality and aesthetic consistency.

Benefits — More than a roof

By choosing Carport ePark, you get much more than just protection for your car. It is a solution that brings concrete, tangible benefits in many areas.

First of all, integrated photovoltaic panels allow significant savings in electricity bills. The standard ePark construction with dimensions of 5x3m is equipped with 8 panels of 420Wp each, which gives a total power of 3.36 kWp. Such an installation in Polish climatic conditions can produce about 3200 kWh of electricity per year. At current energy prices, this is a saving of the order of 2000-2500 PLN per year!

“We installed Carport ePark more than a year ago and we were amazed at how significantly our electricity bills have decreased” — Marta from Wrocław shares her experience. “What's more, we are aware that we use energy from the sun instead of fossil fuels, which gives us the personal satisfaction of caring for the environment.”

It is also worth mentioning the possibility of taking advantage of subsidy programs and tax deductions. As part of the “My Power” program, you can receive a subsidy for a photovoltaic installation in the amount of PLN 7000, and with the purchase of an energy storage additional PLN 7000. In addition, as part of the thermomodernization allowance, it is possible to deduct from PIT tax an amount of up to PLN 53,000. This is a significant financial support that makes the investment in Carport ePark even more profitable.

What is often underestimated is the impact of aesthetic and ecological solutions on the value of real estate. Real estate market research clearly indicates that homes equipped with modern, aesthetic renewable energy solutions are priced higher and sell faster. Carport ePark can therefore be seen not only as an expense, but as an investment that increases the value of the entire property.

The flexibility of the ePark system is another important advantage. The modular design allows for easy expansion in the future, without the need to dismantle existing elements. You can start with a basic roof for one car, and then expand the system with additional seating, LED lighting or integrate it into a pergola or fencing system.

With thoughtful design and high-quality materials, the Carport ePark requires minimal maintenance. The aluminum construction resists corrosion and weathering, and the photovoltaic panels are self-cleaning — rain is usually enough to wash away dust and debris from them.

It is also worth appreciating the comfort of use that Carport ePark provides. The spacious design allows you to get in and out of the car freely, and the optional LED lighting provides excellent visibility after dark. This is especially important in the autumn-winter period, when it gets dark early.

For those who own an electric or hybrid car, the Carport ePark can be supplemented with a charging station. The energy produced by photovoltaic panels can directly power your vehicle, making it an even greener solution.

It is also worth mentioning the psychological aspect — the feeling of satisfaction and pride that comes with having an aesthetic, modern and ecological solution. Carport ePark is not only a functional piece of property, but also an expression of your lifestyle and the values you value.

“Since we installed Carport ePark, our house has become a kind of attraction in the area,” says Tomasz, owner of a modern house near Poznań. “Neighbors often ask for details, and I am happy to tell them about the benefits that this solution has brought us.”
