Have you decided on a solar roof? Congratulations on a great decision! Now you are probably wondering what the entire implementation process will look like - from signing the contract to the moment when your roof starts producing clean energy. In this article, I will walk you through all the steps so that you know exactly what to expect and can prepare accordingly.

Key stages of implementation

The process of implementing a solar roof is a carefully thought out sequence of actions, where each subsequent step builds on the previous one. Let's start from the beginning.

Design and documentation

It all starts with a precise design. Our engineers and designers analyze the technical documentation of your home, taking into account every detail - from the angle of inclination of the roof to the location of chimneys or roof windows. On this basis, they prepare a detailed project that takes into account the placement of active and passive modules, the conduct of the electrical installation and all the necessary roofing treatments.

It is at this stage that key technical decisions are made that will ensure not only energy efficiency, but also long-term durability and safety of the entire system.

Preparing for assembly

When the project is ready and accepted, we begin the preparatory phase. The components are manufactured in our factory near Warsaw, where every component undergoes rigorous quality control. At the same time, we coordinate the work of the assembly teams and set the delivery schedule.

During this time, it is worth preparing a place for storing materials - you will need a space protected from rain and access of outsiders. If you are building a new house, also make sure that the roof structure is ready to accept the new covering.

Assembling the system

The installation itself is a precisely planned operation, which is carried out by certified teams combining roofing and electrical skills. We start with the installation of membranes and patches, then we install the cable tray system, and only then proceed to the laying of eTile modules.

The entire process is supervised by our specialists, who ensure compliance with the project and the highest quality standards. This is not an ordinary roof covering - it is the installation of an advanced power system that must work without failures for decades.

Connection and commissioning

When the roofing is ready, it's time for electrical work. We assemble the inverter, make all connections and protections, configure the monitoring system. At this stage, special attention is paid to the safety of the installation - each connection is carefully checked and tested.

After the electrical work is completed, we carry out comprehensive tests, checking not only the electrical parameters, but also the tightness and correctness of the execution of all roofing treatments.

First start-up and training

The culmination of the implementation process is the commissioning of the system and detailed training of users. We'll show you how to monitor energy production, what's worth checking regularly, and how to react in rare emergencies. You will also receive a complete set of technical documentation and access to our support system.

What distinguishes the implementation of Electrotile projects?

Unlike traditional photovoltaic installations, where there are often two separate crews - roofing and electric - we provide a comprehensive implementation. Our contractors undergo specialized training in the installation of eTILE systems, which guarantees the highest quality of workmanship.

In addition, throughout the implementation process, you have a dedicated project manager at your disposal, who coordinates all activities and is your first point of contact in any matter.

What's next?

In the following articles we will discuss in detail each of the stages of implementation. Among other things, you will learn:

  • How to prepare for the installation of a solar roof
  • What to look for when receiving works
  • What is the daily operation of the system
  • What are the rules of maintenance and inspections

If you have any questions, our advisors are at your disposal. They will help you plan the implementation and answer all technical doubts.
