Weatherproof

Wind resistance
The biggest challenge for outdoor shading systems is strong wind. Our zip-screen systems use aluminum guide technology with an aluminum insert that keeps the fabric firmly taut even in strong gusts. Under standard conditions, the systems can withstand winds of up to 90 km/h, however, for safety, we recommend winding above 60 km/h.
Importantly, throughout the entire service life, the fabric remains perfectly taut and does not fall out of the guides. This is due to a special design in which the fabric is held in the guides by means of a zipper system and an aluminum insert. This technology is far superior to standard screen systems, which often have the problem of fabric falling out with stronger gusts of wind.
Rain resistance
The technical fabrics used in our systems are moisture resistant and do not deform under the influence of rain. A special protective coating makes water flow over the surface of the fabric, without penetrating into its structure. Thanks to this, the system retains its properties even after heavy rainfall.
In the case of ZIP Pro systems, all mechanical components are protected against water. The drain trough at the bottom of the system effectively drains rainwater, protecting the mechanism from moisture.
Durability at high temperatures
Our systems are tested in the climatic chamber at temperatures from -30°C to +70°C. Fabrics do not lose their properties even with prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Tensile strength after tests at +70°C remains at 180-185 daN/5cm, which guarantees the stability of the system.
UV resistance
Technical fabrics have a UV filter and are resistant to flaring. The coefficient of resistance to artificial light according to ISO 105 B02 is >7, which means very high color fastness. Even after years of intense sun exposure, fabrics retain their original appearance and properties.
Practical assembly tips
To ensure maximum resistance of the system to weather conditions:
- Be especially careful when installing the side guides - they must be perfectly vertical
- Check that the water drainage system in the lower part is working properly
- Make sure that the fabric is evenly tensioned over the entire width
- Install a wind sensor that will automatically collapse the system in strong gusts
Remember that even the best system requires regular inspections. We recommend checking the tension of the fabric and the operation of the mechanisms at least once a year.
