InvisibleSolar Finish - perfect blend into the architecture

When you ask homeowners what is stopping them from installing photovoltaic panels, one of the most common answers is concern about the appearance of the building. And it's hard to be surprised - traditional black panels can drastically change the character of even the most beautiful architecture. It was this concern that became the beginning of our journey to create InvisibleSolar Finish technology.

From Problem to Solution

It all started with a simple observation: why do photovoltaic panels need to be visible? Traditional solutions, originally developed for photovoltaic farms, were simply transferred to the roofs of houses without much thought about their impact on the architecture.

Our engineers began working on a technology that would allow us to hide photovoltaic panels while maintaining their high performance. We looked for inspiration in the world of premium architecture, where every detail matters. We paid special attention to how light interacts with different building materials and how these properties can be used in photovoltaics.

The first attempts were promising, but it became clear that the biggest challenge would be finding a balance between aesthetics and efficiency. We need a completely new approach.

A breakthrough came when our specialists developed a unique technology for tinting solar glass. Instead of simply applying color to the surface, we have developed a process that allows the dye to be integrated into the structure of the glass. This not only ensures the durability of the color, but also minimizes the loss of light transmission.

The next step was to develop a masking system for silver electrodes (bus-bars) on the surface of the cells. These metallic lines, characteristic of standard panels, have always betrayed the presence of a photovoltaic installation on the roof. Thanks to a special printing technology, we can now completely hide or disguise them so that they are practically invisible from the ground level.

Today, InvisibleSolar Finish technology allows us to create solar roofs that look exactly like traditional roofing.

Teknologi i detaljer

You look at the roof of the house from a distance of several tens of meters. You will see an elegant anthracite covering that blends perfectly with the architecture of the building. Only when you get closer, you notice that part of the roof produces electricity. This is the result of InvisibleSolar Finish technology, which gives architects and investors extraordinary design possibilities.

In the Pure Black version, we completely mask all the technical elements, obtaining a uniformly black surface - even from a very close up you can not see that it is a photovoltaic installation. In doing so, we lose about 6% of performance, but we gain absolute discretion in technology.

The second level, which we call Anthracite, is our golden middle road. Here we apply a special pattern of microscopic dots that mask technical elements.

For projects where every kilowatt of energy counts, we offer the Basic Black variant. Here the electrodes are delicately visible, but only very close. For this, we do not lose anything in the performance of the system. This is a great solution for buildings where the roof is not exposed from ground level.

The real revolution, however, is our color palette. Thanks to the special technology of tinting solar glass, we can offer a roof in popular shades such as brick or gray. Moreover, on a special request we are able to match the color to the specific design. However, for many projects, especially in areas under conservation supervision, the ability to perfectly match the color is invaluable.

Interestingly, the price of our panels is independent of the chosen color or level of masking.

The Future of Solar Architecture

InvisibleSolar Finish technology is changing the way we think about integrating photovoltaics into architecture. We are no longer talking about “installing panels on the roof” - we are talking about designing buildings that naturally generate energy.

From 2029, all new residential buildings in the European Union will be equipped with photovoltaic systems. This is not a distant future - it is a reality for which architects and investors must prepare today. InvisibleSolar Finish gives them a tool that allows them to meet these requirements without compromising on aesthetics.

Particularly interesting opportunities this technology opens up in conservation zones. Take, for example, a townhouse in the historic center of the city. A la instalación de panelên fotovoltaîk bi kevneşopî dê li vir ji ber hewcedariyên parastina monumentê bêkêmasî be. However, with the ability to perfectly match color and texture to historic roofing, InvisibleSolar Finish allows you to combine heritage protection with modern technology.

Homes equipped with invisible photovoltaics are gaining an advantage in the real estate market. They not only offer lower operating costs, but also retain a high architectural value. This is especially important in the premium segment, where the aesthetics of a building is a key factor affecting its value.

Looking to the future, we are developing technology towards even greater personalization. We are working on new glass tinting methods that will allow us to obtain an even wider palette of colors with less loss of performance. At the same time, we are developing intelligent energy management systems that will make optimal use of the generated energy.

InvisibleSolar Finish is not just about technology — it's a new chapter in the history of architecture. A chapter in which buildings become discreetly self-sufficient with energy, retaining their architectural identity.
