Modern architecture increasingly requires combining functionality with ecology and aesthetics. eBlock responds to these challenges by offering a modular solution that can be adapted to a variety of design needs. In this guide, we will discuss the key aspects of designing with eBlock and provide practical guidance on how to implement it.

Basic parameters of the system

The eBlock system is based on a simple but well thought-out aluminium construction based on 10x10 cm profiles. This modularity allows you to create structures with dimensions from 2.4 x 2.4 m to 5 x 5 m, the most optimal in terms of cost and functionality are dimensions up to 4 x 4 m.

The standard height of the structure is 2.4 m, which provides comfortable usable space while complying with most local building codes for small architecture.

Variants of roofing

The system offers two basic roofing options:

Photovoltaic roofing

Available in two variants:

  • With 5kWh energy storage - ideal for spaces remote from the building or requiring energy independence
  • Connected to the network - a more economical option for a location with access to the electrical system

The power of the photovoltaic installation depends on the size of the structure:

  • Design 2.4 x 2.4 m: 2 panel (1060 Wp)
  • Construction 3.5 x 2.5 m: 3 panels (1590 Wp)
  • Construction 5 x 2.5 m (suitable size for carport): 4 panels (2120 Wp)

Textile roofing

Lighter and more economical solution, ideal when:

  • No need to generate power
  • The priority is the lightness of the structure
  • The budget is limited

Design issues

Integration with the environment

When designing a space with the eBlock system, it is worth considering:

  1. Orientation to the sides of the world - especially important with the variant with photovoltaic panels
  2. Relation to the existing architecture - the system allows you to customize the color scheme of the structure
  3. Connection with small architecture - possibility of combining with LED lighting systems

Additional solutions

The system can be enriched with:

  • LED lighting in the legs of the structure (available in variants 1-4 legs)
  • Composite flooring (recommended for free-standing structures)
  • Zip-screen shutter systems with electric drive

Realization process

  1. Conceptual design
  • Determination of function and location
  • Choosing a roofing variant
  • Preliminary cost analysis
  1. Technical design
  • Detailed dimensioning
  • Selection of additional equipment
  • Material Specification
  1. Realization
  • Standard installation time of structures with textile roof: 1-2 days
  • Extra day for composite floor installation (if any)
  • For PV version: extra time for electrical installation

eBlock offers architects a flexible tool to create functional outdoor spaces. The key to success is to properly balance your utility, aesthetic and energy needs with your available budget. The modularity of the system allows for its gradual expansion, which can be an important argument in conversations with the investor.
