Modern architecture is not only aesthetics, but above all functionality and sustainability. Carport Premium from Electrotile combines these elements into a coherent whole, offering an elegant parking canopy integrated with the photovoltaic system. In this guide, we will discuss key aspects of designing using this innovative solution.

Design and functionality - the new standard of the parking roof

Thoughtful parking ergonomics

One of the biggest challenges when designing parking canopies is providing convenient access to the car. At Carport Premium, we have introduced an innovative solution to this problem by retracting the structural legs.

In traditional carports, the poles are often located exactly where the driver or passenger opens the door. This results in the need to expand the parking spaces - a typical two-station carport occupies in practice the space of 2.5 parking spaces. In our solution, the thoughtful placement of the supports allows you to fully open the door without the risk of hitting the structure. Thanks to this, Carport Premium for two cars actually occupies the area of two parking spaces. In larger projects, this translates into significant space savings - more seats can be accommodated on the same surface.

Minimalist aesthetics

Carport Premium stands out from the competition with its clean, minimalist design. The basic design principle was to hide all technical elements:

  • The wiring is completely hidden in the structure
  • The inverter is housed in an elegant housing integrated into the support
  • The EV car charger is discreetly integrated into the pole
  • No protruding profiles or visible mounting elements
  • All joints are precisely folded and invisible

The end result is a harmonious combination of form and function - the design looks light and elegant, while providing full functionality of the photovoltaic system and vehicle charging.

Advanced water drainage system

We paid special attention to protection against precipitation. Carport Premium uses a unique double roof system:

  • Top layer with photovoltaic panels
  • Bottom layer in the form of steel soffit
  • Ventilation space between layers
  • Integrated gutter system hidden in the structure

This solution provides not only effective drainage of water, but also:

  • Additional ventilation of photovoltaic panels, increasing their efficiency
  • Elegant finish from the bottom
  • Possibility to install LED lighting in interfloor space
  • Protection of the wiring from the weather

The soffit made of high-quality steel sheet creates a uniform, smooth surface, which further enhances the aesthetic qualities of the structure. The gutter system is designed to remain invisible and at the same time effectively drain water even during heavy rainfall.

It is worth noting that all these elements - the ergonomics of parking, the concealment of technical installations and the water drainage system - have been integrated in a way that does not affect the main function of the carport, that is, the production of electricity. The design still provides the optimal angle of inclination of the panels and maximum exposure to sunlight.

Flexible mounting solutions

One of the biggest advantages of the Carport Premium system is its versatility in terms of installation. As an architect, you have two basic foundation methods to choose from:

Foundation system

The traditional foundation on concrete foundations is ideal for new investments or places where there are no restrictions associated with existing infrastructure. The system uses point foundations with dimensions adapted to ground conditions, which must be determined after conducting geological surveys.

Technical specification of foundations:

  • Concrete grade B30 W8
  • AIIIN RB500W Steel
  • Bottom cover Cnom = 5,0cm
  • The dimensions of the foundation determined individually after the soil tests

String system with micropiles

This is an innovative solution that works particularly well for the modernization of existing parking lots. Main advantages:

  • No need to disturb the parking surface
  • Quick and clean installation
  • Minimal interference with existing infrastructure
  • Can be dismantled without leaving traces

Designing of parking lots

Carport Premium is designed to create extensive parking lots. The 5500 x 5400 mm base module can be duplicated to form an architecturally coherent whole.

When designing a parking string, you should pay attention to:

  • Maintain minimum spacing between modules
  • Ensure adequate service access
  • Optimal use of parking space
  • Planning of cable routes and connection points

Technical specification

Basic parameters that must be considered in the design:

  • Maximum height: 3400 mm
  • Minimum height: 2400 mm
  • Width: 5500 mm
  • Depth: 5400 mm
  • Maximum vehicle height: 2300 mm
  • Roof angle adjustment: -10°/ 0°/ 10°
  • PV power: 5.04 kWp per module

Integration with electrical infrastructure

When designing the layout of carports, it is necessary to plan:

Cable Routes:

  • Underground cable channels between modules
  • Connection points to the electrical network
  • Location of inverters and protections

Charging stations:

  • Placement of chargers in Pro EV modules
  • Access to electricity infrastructure
  • Connection power planning

Aesthetic and finishing aspects

Carport Premium offers different trim options:

  • The possibility of painting the structure in any RAL color
  • Stainless steel housing
  • Integrated LED lighting
  • Grilles for technical elements

Project documentation

When preparing documentation, it is necessary to take into account:

  • Land development plan with carports layout
  • Foundation design (after geological surveys)
  • Wiring diagram
  • Connection and finishing details
  • Material Specification

Technical Support

The Electrotile team offers architects comprehensive support:

  • Technical consultation at the design stage
  • Access to the CAD/BIM library
  • Support in the selection of solutions
  • Supervision of assembly

Carport Premium is not just a parking roof - it is a comprehensive architectural solution combining functionality, aesthetics and modern energy technologies. As an architect, you have a flexible system at your disposal that can be adapted to a variety of design and location requirements.
