Designing with eFence

Basic parameters of the system

The eFence system is designed for maximum flexibility while maintaining a consistent aesthetic. The standard span has a width of 2000 mm, which facilitates planning and installation. We have three heights to choose from:

  • 2000 mm - the most efficient version, delivering up to 640 Wp from a single span
  • 1500 mm - sustainable solution offering up to 480 Wp
  • 1000 mm - version ideal for lower fences, generating up to 320 Wp

The pillars of the system have a cross section of 100 x 100 mm, which is the basis for integration with other systems. Entrance gates are available in widths of 4000 or 5000 mm, while wickets have a width of 1000 mm as standard.

Design rules

Orientation and energy efficiency

When designing an eFence fence, we must keep in mind the basic principles of photovoltaics. The highest efficiency will be obtained with the southern exposure of the panels. If the fence needs to run in different directions, it is worth dividing it into independent power sections. Each section with a different orientation should have its own microinverter, which will allow to optimize energy production.

Modularity and flexibility

One of the key advantages of the system is its modularity. Each span can contain from zero to four photovoltaic modules. In shady places or where photovoltaic panels are not the optimal solution, we can use visually identical aluminum modules. Thanks to this, we maintain the visual consistency of the entire fence, even if not all its parts produce energy.

Integration with Electrotile systems

Sistema eBlade

The use of the same 100 x 100 mm posts as in the eBlade lamella system opens up new design possibilities. We can smoothly move from a fence to a system of blinds or shutters, creating a visually coherent whole. This is especially useful when designing:

  • Rest areas adjacent to the fence
  • Sun visors for terraces
  • Partition walls in the garden
  • Privacy shutters

Sistema eBlock

Compatibility with the eBlock roofing system allows you to create comprehensive architectural solutions. Particularly interesting opportunities open up when designing:

  • Integrated garage sheds at the entrance gates
  • Covered entrance areas at the gates
  • Pergolas and canopies along the fence
  • Carports connected to the fence system

Technical solutions

Electrical installation

The system was thought out from the point of view of aesthetic concealment of the electrical installation. Wires run inside posts and horizontal crossbars for a clean, minimalist look. When designing, it is necessary to take into account:

  • Optimal location of the inverter, preferably close to the main switchboard of the building
  • The route of conducting the wiring to the building
  • Connection points of individual photovoltaic sections

Foundations and construction

Proper grounding is crucial for the stability of the system:

  • The depth of the foundation should be at least 80 cm
  • The base of the foundation should have dimensions of at least 30 x 30 cm
  • The system can be mounted on a substructure, while maintaining consistency with local requirements

Sample design solutions

Comprehensive entrance area

We can design an entrance area connecting:

  • Entrance gate with a width of 5 meters
  • Integrated carport of the eBlock system
  • eBlade shutter system for privacy
  • Unified control system for all components

Modern entrance area

When designing the entrance zone, it is worth using:

  • eBlock Canopy Wicket
  • Intercom panel integrated with pole
  • LED Lighting System
  • Mailbox integrated into the system

Project documentation

When preparing documentation, it is necessary to take into account:

  • Situational plan with the designation of active and passive sections
  • Electrical diagram showing the connections between the spans
  • Detailed specification of modules and system components
  • Connection details of different systems
  • Sections showing the method of foundation

The eFence system, thanks to its modularity and compatibility with other Electrotile solutions, allows you to create comprehensive architectural projects. By combining the functions of fencing, energy production and elements of landscape architecture, we can design visually and functionally coherent spaces that respond to the contemporary challenges of sustainable construction.
