The eTile system requires the correct routing of cables under the roof slab. Steel cable trays ensure safe wiring and are an important element of the grounding system of the entire installation.

A. Preparation for assembly

Before starting the installation of troughs, make sure that you have:

· 100x35mm vertical cable trays for cable routing from the roof

· 150x35mm horizontal troughs for cable routing between panels

· Wood screws 4x30mm for fixing troughs

· Yellow green cable LGY 16mm² for grounding

· Solar return cable to make a loop

B. Running troughs on the roof

Start by installing a vertical cable tray on the far left side of your planned installation. The vertical trough must:

· Be on the opposite side of the first eTile module installed

· Be mounted over the entire length of the cover with a gap of about 300mm from the top and bottom

· To be bolted to the counter-lath with screws at a spacing of 150-200mm

Next, mount the horizontal troughs:

· Install them every fourth patch, under the places where the junction boxes of the panels will be located

· Screw to the counter-lath with 4x30mm screws at a distance of 150-200mm

· Leave about 200mm clearance from the far right side

C. Connections and grounding

All troughs must be electrically connected to each other:

· Connect horizontal troughs to vertical ground wire

· In the places where the troughs connect, use connectors that ensure electrical continuity

· Connect 16mm² ground cable to each trough

· Lead the ground wire out of the field along with the solar wires

D. Assembly checklist

Before finishing, check:

· Fixing stability of all troughs

· Correct spacing between fixing screws

· Electrical continuity between all troughs

· No sharp edges that can damage wires

· The correctness of the execution of grounding connections

· Preparation of the route for the return cable

Remember: The robust construction of the trough system is the basis of a safe eTile installation. Do not try to save on the number of screws or the quality of connections.
